I don't want to steer you away from the game, but if you intend to play completely free, by using just exploration points and bulk resources, to "pay" for region unlocks, it's going to be a LONG slog. If I start now playing like 2-3 hours a day.Īlso is there any kind of cooldown after each mission or task or something like that? But in a normal gameplay, how hard/how long it would be take as free to play?Īnd please, dont tell me "it depends how much time do you spend". Originally posted by Nimre:Thank you for the reply. I am happy enough with the game that 10 dollars was definitely worth it for me to do that small little bit to support these devs. Somehow I managed to "sell" a few blueprints, which allowed me to unlock Arid and Far East regions with the coyns I earned and after that I caved in and bought the rest of the Coyn I needed (10 bucks) to unlock the rest of the map. My initial goal was to play it all without paying, however that changed for me because of the blueprint market. it's an astronomical amount of islands and random encounters you would have to visit to get that many points. Supposedly it's possible to unlock everything within the game using just explorer points but I tried to follow that path and gave up on that notion. To unlock regions you either have to spend Explorer Points, which are the points earned by exploring "random encounters", OR by spending real money to unlock the whole map. Progress in the game (adventure) is "gated" or locked behind the various regions of the map.Įach region features certain 'needed' resources and the only way to travel to those places is by unlocking the regions.
